Let's Make the Church Together!

Dear Precious Saints of MBC,

I trust you are doing well and looking forward to the Lord's Day.

For MBC to grow and succeed we need to work together.  Each person must see themselves as an indispensable part of the church and work cooperatively together.  None of us can do it alone - we need everyone involved doing their part according to God's grace and gifts.
A woman was teaching Vacation Bible School when a new student  named Davey was brought in about an hour before the class ended. The new boy only had one arm and the teacher didn't know any details about how he lost his arm or how he had adjusted to it.  Her greatest fear however was that the other kids might say something to embarrass him. She couldn't warn them, so she proceeded cautiously.
As the class came to a close, she began to relax. She asked the class to join her in their usual closing ceremony. "Let's make our churches," she said, and then proceeded with: "Here's the church and here's the steeple, open the doors and there's ..."

Suddenly the awful truth of what she was doing hit her. The very thing she feared the other kids would do, she had done, since the one-armed boy couldn't participate!  As she stood there panicked, the little girl next to this boy reached over with her left hand and placed it up to his right hand and said, "Davey, let's make the church together."

That's the only way the church can do God's work: Together! Together, we win and God wins!  Let's work together and make His church here a testimony to His great name!

As pastor I am so grateful for our unity as a church and the willingness on the part of many to work together.   Last week was our annual business meeting.  For those of you unable to attend the 2019 Budget was a approved and the following now make up our Church leadership as both Elders and Deacons:
